The HBR Board of Directors has announced that the sale of the Happy Talk Lounge and Bali Hai Restaurant was completed last week.  The buyer is Jimit Mehta who owns and operates the very successful Kalypso restaurant in Hanalei town.

After renovation, it is estimated that the restaurant and bar will open sometime after the middle of April. The new owners are planning breakfast, lunch and dinner service with a happy hour and music each afternoon.

On the real estate front, Kauai continues to recover from the real estate slump. Sales have been spurred by lower prices and a competitive market.  Just this week the owners of HBR 9123/ 4 dropped their listing price by over $50,000 to $930,000.  

The view is from the lanai of 9123/4, a two bedroom lockout.  It has been extensively remodeled and features granite counters in the kitchen and baths, stainless steel appliances and a relaxing island decor.
